The desktop version of Opera has introduced an opt-in setting that can automatically activate the browser’s built-in VPN whenever it detects that you are connected to a public or unsecured Wi-Fi network.
The feature is designed to provide an extra layer of privacy and security when using networks in places such as cafés, airports, hotels, and other public locations.
Users can enable the option through Opera’s VPN settings, allowing the browser to automatically turn on its built-in VPN when it detects a potentially insecure Wi-Fi connection. The feature is rolling out to users in the US and France.
