Brave Browser has surpassed 130 million monthly active users for the first time, marking another milestone for the privacy-focused browser as its search engine continues to attract more users.

Brave CEO Brendan Eich announced that the browser reached 130.77 million monthly active users in October 2026, representing a 1.9% increase from September. The growth rate accelerated from the previous month’s 1.6% increase.

The browser also recorded a peak of 55.42 million daily active users during October. According to Eich, Brave users collectively spent a record 7.26 billion minutes using the browser in a single day.

Brave Search also continued its upward trajectory, processing more than 2.7 billion search queries during October. The milestone highlights the growing adoption of Brave’s independent search engine, which competes with established services such as Google Search and Microsoft Bing.

The latest figures reflect continued expansion for Brave, which reached 100 million monthly active users in September 2025. Its browser combines Chromium-based browsing with built-in privacy features, including ad and tracker blocking through Brave Shields.

Brave has increasingly expanded beyond browsing and search, offering products such as its Leo AI assistant, Brave Search API, and subscription services. The company has also emphasized privacy-focused advertising and other revenue streams that do not rely on selling users’ personal browsing data.
