YouTube is making its platform more global than ever by expanding multi-language audio to millions of creators in the coming weeks.

This feature allows creators to upload audio tracks in multiple languages, making their videos instantly accessible to audiences around the world.

With this update, when a creator in the U.S. publishes a video, fans in Korea, Brazil, or India can now watch it in their own native language within moments. The impact has already been significant — on average, creators using multi-language audio saw over 25% of their total watch time come from non-primary language views.

The feature was first launched as a pilot program two years ago, enabling a small group of creators to upload dubbed audio tracks. YouTube says the results have been impressive. For instance, chef Jamie Oliver’s channel experienced a 3x increase in views after adopting multi-language audio. Popular creators like MrBeast and Mark Rober have also embraced the feature, with Rober uploading dubs in more than 30 languages per video, ensuring that fans from Seoul to São Paulo can enjoy his content simultaneously.

In addition to audio, YouTube has also started testing multi-language thumbnails, allowing creators to localize their video covers based on a viewer’s selected language. This is another step toward making content feel personalized and accessible worldwide.

Chef Nick DiGiovanni, one of the creators involved in the pilot, shared that being able to publish in Spanish, Turkish, Vietnamese, Russian, Arabic, and more has significantly expanded his global audience.
