WhatsApp now has more than 3 billion people using it every month, Meta CEO Mark Zuckerberg announced during the company’s earnings call this week.
This makes WhatsApp one of the few apps in the world, along with Facebook, to hit this massive number.
The popular chat app was started in 2009 and bought by Facebook (now Meta) in 2014 for $19 billion. It remains free to use and doesn’t show ads.
