Reddit is introducing a new advertising feature called Conversation Summary Add-ons, which places positive user posts directly beneath promoted ads.
Announced ahead of the Cannes Lions festival, the feature is currently in alpha testing with brands like Jackbox Games and Lucid.
According to Reddit, the feature “dynamically integrates positive content from Reddit users directly below an advertiser’s creative,” offering a blend of AI-driven efficiency and real human perspectives. Viewers will see a summary of what Reddit users are saying about the brand, along with the ability to scroll through actual community posts curated by the system.
The technology behind this innovation is Reddit’s new Reddit Community Intelligence engine, which processes more than 22 billion posts and comments to provide structured insights for advertisers. The goal is to enable smarter marketing decisions by leveraging genuine community feedback.
Additionally, Reddit has launched Reddit Insights, an AI-powered social listening tool that gives marketers real-time analytics based on Reddit’s proprietary metadata. The tool helps validate creative ideas, plan campaigns, and monitor brand sentiment with precision.
