Google Chrome is introducing a new feature called “IP Protection” that will hide users’ IP addresses from websites. This feature is designed to protect users’ privacy and prevent them from being tracked online.

IP Protection will work by routing some of the user’s traffic through a proxy server. This will obscure the user’s real IP address from the websites they visit. IP Protection will also block websites from using certain techniques to identify users, such as fingerprinting.

Google Chrome’s IP Protection feature is still under development, but it is expected to be released to users in 2024. The feature will be optional at first, but Google plans to make it mandatory for all users in the future.
