Google Photos is finally coming to TVs, starting with Samsung televisions in 2026.

Samsung has confirmed a new integration that will allow photos and videos saved in Google Photos to appear directly on Samsung TVs in a larger and more cinematic view.

At first, Samsung plans to launch a Memories feature on its Tizen OS powered TVs in March 2026. This feature will automatically show curated collections of personal photos and videos, similar to how Google Photos Memories work on phones. Samsung says this feature will be exclusive to Samsung TVs for the first six months.

Later in 2026, more Google Photos features will be added. These include advanced search, AI-powered image creation, and editing tools. Users will be able to create themed images using AI templates, generate new visuals, remix existing photos, and even turn photos into short videos using Google’s AI tools.

The integration will also support personalized slideshows. Users can search by topics or locations such as ocean, hiking, or Paris, and their TV will display matching photos in a continuous slideshow. This makes it easier to enjoy personal memories on a big screen without manually selecting images.

Setting up Google Photos on Samsung TVs is expected to be simple. Users will only need to sign in with their Google account on the TV, and their saved photos will automatically become available for viewing.

There is currently no dedicated Google Photos app for TVs, including Google TV devices. Samsung has not confirmed whether this integration will be a full app or a built-in system feature. While Samsung will be the first to launch these features, other TV brands are expected to follow once the exclusivity period ends.
