Google is rolling out three new features in Google Chrome that are designed to make everyday browsing more productive and less frustrating.
One of the most useful additions is Split View. Many people often find themselves switching back and forth between two tabs while comparing information, writing notes, or watching tutorials. With Split View, you can now open two tabs side by side in the same window. This makes it easier to stay focused and reduces the need to constantly change tabs. Teachers can review assignments while checking references, students can take notes while watching videos, and developers can read documentation while writing code. It creates a cleaner and more organized workspace without needing multiple windows.

Chrome is also improving how users work with PDF files. The built-in PDF viewer now allows you to highlight text and add notes directly inside the document. In the past, you had to download a file and open it in another program just to make small edits or comments. Now, you can quickly mark important sections, review reports, or add simple notes without leaving your browser. This saves time and keeps your workflow smooth, especially for people who handle documents daily.
Another practical update is the new option to save PDFs directly to Google Drive. Instead of downloading a file and later uploading it to cloud storage, you can now send it straight to Drive from Chrome. The files are automatically placed in a folder called “Saved from Chrome,” making them easier to find later. This feature helps users avoid losing important documents and keeps everything backed up and organized across devices.
