Google is rolling out an upgrade to its Circle to Search feature, making it easier for users to translate content on their screens without interruptions.

Starting this week, Android users can access continuous translation while scrolling through apps or webpages.

Circle to Search, introduced last year, allows users to quickly find information on their screen using gestures like circling, highlighting, scribbling, or tapping. With the new update, translations will now remain active as users scroll through content or even switch between apps.

“Translation is one of the most-used features in Circle to Search — you can get more context for social posts from creators who speak a different language, or browse menus when you’re booking restaurant reservations while traveling abroad,” Google explained in a blog post. Until now, users had to restart the translation process whenever the screen content changed, but this update removes that limitation.

To use the feature, users can long-press the home button or navigation bar, select the Translate icon, and tap “scroll and translate.” The rollout begins this week, starting with select Samsung Galaxy devices, with wider availability expected soon.
