A video has been spreading on TikTok, Facebook, and other social media platforms claiming to show a young whale trainer named Jessica Radcliffe being attacked by an orca (killer whale) during a live show.
In the clip, the trainer appears to be performing with the whale before it suddenly pulls her under the water. The dramatic scene quickly went viral and shocked many viewers.
However, investigators have confirmed that the video is completely fake. There is no record of any trainer named Jessica Radcliffe, and no marine park has reported such an incident.
Experts found that the footage was created using artificial intelligence (AI) and editing tools. The movements, water splashes, and even the trainer’s voice in the video show signs of being computer-generated rather than real.
Scientists also point out that orcas are not usually aggressive toward humans. While rare accidents have happened in the past—mostly involving captive whales—wild orcas are often seen swimming peacefully with dolphins and other marine animals. It is extremely rare for them to attack people.
