Apple users in the US can now apply to get a share of a $95 million payout related to a Siri privacy lawsuit.
The case claimed that Apple’s voice assistant, Siri, sometimes recorded private conversations by accident, and that these recordings were shared with outside contractors without users’ permission.
The recordings reportedly happened between September 17, 2014, and December 31, 2024. Apple later apologized and said it would stop saving these recordings, though it denied some of the other claims.
Anyone who owned an Apple device during that time and had Siri turned on by accident can apply for the payout by July 2, 2025. Claims can be made for up to five Siri-enabled devices, like iPhones, iPads, Apple Watches, Macs, and more. Each approved device may get up to $20.
Even if you didn’t receive a claim code, you can still apply if you believe you’re eligible.
