Apple has introduced the iPhone Duo, its first foldable iPhone, bringing a completely new design to the iPhone lineup.
When unfolded, the device features a 7.6-inch inner display, giving users more space for watching content, gaming and multitasking. Apple says it is also the thinnest iPhone ever, with a special nano-texture finish designed to reduce glare and improve the viewing experience.
When folded, the iPhone Duo has a 5.4-inch outer display that provides 90 percent of the screen area found on the iPhone 18 Pro while keeping the device compact enough to fit easily into a pocket. Both displays use the same aspect ratio, allowing content to scale proportionally as the phone moves between its folded and unfolded forms.
Apple has also focused on durability, using a new hardware design and precision hinge intended to provide a smooth feel during everyday use. The iPhone Duo is powered by the new A20 Pro chip and includes an advanced thermal management system with a custom-designed vapor chamber. A dual-battery architecture is designed to deliver strong performance while maintaining all-day battery life.
The phone also features an advanced camera system for capturing photos and videos. Its foldable design introduces new ways to use the camera that Apple says are not possible with other iPhone models.
The iPhone Duo runs iOS 27, which has been redesigned to adapt to the different ways users can interact with the foldable device while keeping the familiar iPhone experience. Apple Intelligence and Siri AI are also integrated, bringing AI features together with users’ personal context.
