OpenAI’s ChatGPT has now surpassed 20 million paying subscribers, marking a significant milestone for the AI-powered chatbot.
According to a report by The Information, the platform has added 4.5 million new subscribers since the end of last year.
With each subscriber paying for the premium service, OpenAI is estimated to be earning at least $415 million per month. This figure does not include revenue from enterprise plans or the newly introduced $200-per-month Pro tier, which caters to power users and businesses.
The rapid growth in ChatGPT’s subscriber base puts OpenAI on track to achieve its ambitious revenue target of $12.7 billion in 2024. As AI adoption continues to rise, OpenAI’s financial trajectory suggests it could solidify its position as a dominant force in the AI industry.
