Users are encountering an error message stating “Hmm…something seems to have gone wrong.” when trying to use the service.
Data from DownDetector on OpenAI outages shows a dramatic increase in reported issues, particularly from around 2:00 PM onwards, with the number of reports exceeding 1300 by 5:00 PM.
This suggests a major service disruption impacting a large number of ChatGPT users. The cause of the outage is not yet known.
