Samsung Electronics has announced the global expansion of its Sleep Apnea detection feature on the Galaxy Watch series, now available in 70 markets, including 34 European countries, Australia, and Singapore.

The feature, accessible through the Samsung Health Monitor app, aims to help users detect signs of moderate to severe obstructive sleep apnea, a condition often undiagnosed yet linked to serious health risks.

The expansion follows Samsung’s recent CE marking for the European Economic Area, validating its compliance with EU health, safety, and environmental standards. Additionally, the feature has received regulatory approval from Australia’s Therapeutic Goods Administration and Singapore’s Health Sciences Authority.

This milestone builds on the De Novo authorization granted by the U.S. Food and Drug Administration (FDA), making Samsung the first to offer an FDA-authorized wearable for sleep apnea detection.

The feature has also been cleared by health authorities in South Korea, Brazil, and Canada.
