Luxury fashion brand Cartier has informed customers that their personal information may have been exposed after a cyberattack on the company’s systems.

In letters sent to customers and shared on social media, Cartier explained that someone got into its systems without permission and accessed a limited amount of customer information.

“We are writing to let you know that someone briefly got into our system and took some client data,” the company said in the notice. “We fixed the issue and have made our systems more secure.”

Cartier said the stolen information includes names, email addresses, and the countries where customers live. The company also confirmed that no sensitive details like passwords, credit card numbers, or bank account information were accessed.

Even though the data was limited, Cartier is advising customers to be careful. The stolen information could be used in scams, so people should watch out for any strange or unexpected messages.

“If you get any messages that seem suspicious or out of the ordinary, please be careful and don’t click on anything,” the company added.
