Spotify has announced new lyric features designed to make songs easier to understand and enjoy.
The update introduces lyric translations, lyric previews, and offline lyrics, expanding how listeners interact with music on the platform.
Lyric translations, first introduced in 2022, are now rolling out worldwide. Both Free and Premium users will see a translate icon in the lyrics section when translations are available, allowing them to view lyrics in their device’s language and switch back to the original text at any time.
Spotify is also adding lyric previews for all users. This feature shows a short lyrics section directly beneath the album artwork while a song is playing, making it possible to follow along without opening the full lyrics screen.
Offline lyrics are the final upgrade and will be exclusive to Premium users. When songs are downloaded for offline listening, their lyrics will now be saved as well, allowing users to read along even without an internet connection.
Spotify says these changes aim to bring listeners closer to the music and the artists they love.
