Spotify is finally bringing its beta music videos feature to Premium subscribers in the US and Canada, more than a year after it debuted in other regions.
If you have a Spotify Premium account, you should now see a new “Switch to video” option on select tracks across the iOS, Android, desktop, and TV apps.
When you tap the “Switch to video” button, the music video will start playing from the exact moment where the audio left off. You can tap “Switch to audio” at any time to hide the video and continue listening normally.
For now, the feature works only with songs from select artists, including Ariana Grande, Olivia Dean, Babymonster, Addison Rae, Tyler Childers, Natanael Cano, and Carín León.
Spotify is also adding a new “Related Music Videos” section that appears when you are in video mode. This replaces the lyrics section and lets you browse more artist-created videos, similar to scrolling through clips on YouTube or TikTok, but limited to official content only.
