Sony has announced that it will stop accepting new orders for most of its CFexpress and SD memory cards starting March 27, 2026.
The decision affects both authorized dealers and regular customers, and the company has said this pause will remain in place for the foreseeable future.
The affected products include CFexpress Type A, Type B, and SDXC and SDHC memory cards. However, a limited number of Type B cards and some entry-level SD models, such as those in the SF-UZ series, will continue to be produced for now. These products may still be available in stores until the current stock runs out.
Sony shared the update through its official website in Japan and also noted the change on individual product pages in its online store. The announcement came on the same day the company revealed plans to increase PlayStation 5 prices globally.
For now, customers looking for Sony memory cards may need to rely on existing inventory available through retailers, as no timeline has been provided for when new orders will resume.
