Snap has introduced a new in-app video editing tool called Quick Cut, designed to help Snapchat users quickly turn their saved Memories into beat-synced, ready-to-share videos.
With Quick Cut, users can select multiple photos or video clips and instantly preview an automatically generated video. The tool is accessible from several parts of the app, including Memories, the camera roll, and during video creation.
Quick Cut automatically adds background music and syncs clips to the beat, creating smooth transitions in seconds. Users can change the music track, apply Snapchat lenses, or make additional edits before posting. For those who want more control, Snap also allows deeper editing using advanced tools like a timeline editor.
After testing the feature, Quick Cut feels both fun and easy to use. Even with just two short clips, the tool was able to create a playful, well-timed video synced to the Stranger Things theme song. This makes it useful not only for casual users but also for content creators looking for quick, engaging edits.
Quick Cut is available now on iOS, and Snap says it plans to roll out the feature to Android devices and more areas of the app soon.
