Reddit is introducing a series of new features aimed at enhancing user engagement and conversation tracking.

Announced by the Reddit product team, the update includes comment drafts, comment insights, and the ability to share comments as posts. These features are now rolling out across Reddit’s native apps and website, with wider availability expected over the coming weeks.

One standout feature allows users to share comments as standalone posts, potentially bringing noteworthy discussions to a broader audience across various subreddits. According to Reddit, this feature is designed to “spotlight and re-engage with past conversations,” and could add a new dynamic to how content circulates on the platform.

The new comment insights tool provides creators and users with detailed metrics such as upvotes, downvotes ratio, views, shares, replies, and awards, offering greater visibility into how individual comments are performing.

Additionally, Reddit is launching comment drafts, a long-awaited feature that will automatically save in-progress comments. While users can return to unfinished drafts later, Reddit notes that GIFs and images aren’t currently saved in drafts.
