Reddit is officially removing r/all, a long-standing feed that showed popular posts from across the platform.

This change is part of the company’s effort to simplify how people use Reddit and to focus more on personalized content in the Home feed.

In the past, Reddit offered both r/popular and r/all for users who wanted to explore trending posts. The difference was that r/all showed a wider range of content with less filtering. While explicit adult content was blocked, other Not Safe for Work posts could still appear there, making it a more open and unpredictable feed.

Earlier this year, Reddit began testing the removal of r/all. In January, the company quietly took it out of its mobile apps and also hid it from some users on desktop. By February, Reddit confirmed that the test was over and decided to remove the feed completely.

Now, Reddit has taken the final step. Any links to r/all will redirect users to their Home feed, and the option is no longer visible in the sidebar or apps for most users. However, people who still use the old version of Reddit can continue to access r/all for now.

Even though r/all is going away, Reddit says trending content is still available through r/popular. That feed remains active, but it may also change in the future. The company has said it is rethinking how global feeds work, especially for new users, and this could lead to updates in how r/popular functions over time.

Alongside these changes, Reddit also announced new privacy settings for younger users. Starting in early April, users under 18 will have stricter defaults. They will not be able to have followers, and their profiles will be hidden to protect their privacy.
