Bluesky has expanded its video capabilities, allowing users to upload videos as long as 10 minutes.

The social media platform previously limited videos to two minutes, but the new update gives users significantly more room to share longer content.

Along with the longer video limit, Bluesky says uploads should now be two to three times faster. The maximum supported file size has also increased to 300MB, making the platform more suitable for creators who want to share longer and higher-quality videos.

The update comes as Bluesky continues working to broaden the type of content available on its platform. The company has recently been competing for attention with other social networks, including Threads, while looking to make its platform more appealing to a wider range of users.

To showcase the new feature, Bluesky’s official account has already started highlighting longer videos uploaded to the platform.
