NASA has once again postponed its highly anticipated Artemis 2 mission, which was set to send four astronauts on a trip around the Moon in the coming weeks.

The delay comes after engineers discovered a problem with the helium supply in the upper stage of the Space Launch System rocket.

The mission was originally planned for 2023, but ongoing technical challenges have pushed the timeline back several times. Now, NASA says the earliest possible launch date is April.

To fix the issue, the agency will need to move the massive Artemis 2 rocket back to its hangar. There, teams will inspect and repair the helium system before preparing the rocket for another launch attempt. Artemis 2 is a key step in NASA’s broader plan to return humans to the Moon and eventually send astronauts to Mars.
