Apple has released iOS 26.5.1 for its latest iPhone models to fix a charging issue affecting some users.

The update is available only for iPhone Air and iPhone 17 models, as the problem appears to be limited to those devices.

According to Apple, the update addresses an issue where wired charging may not work for a small number of users when the battery is almost fully drained. This means some affected iPhones may fail to charge properly through a cable if the battery level is extremely low.

Some users may notice that iOS 26.5.1 shows a large download size during the update process.

However, the actual download does not appear to be that big. The installation itself may take longer than expected, especially because the update needs time to prepare and apply the fix after downloading.
