Google is making its AI-powered video editing app, Google Vids, available to everyone, expanding beyond Workspace and AI plan users.
The move comes with powerful new features designed to make video creation faster and easier.
The update introduces AI avatars, allowing users to generate videos by writing a script and choosing from 12 lifelike digital presenters with different looks and voices. In addition, Google has added an image-to-video feature powered by its Veo 3 model, which transforms still images into dynamic eight-second video clips with synchronized audio.
Other enhancements include automatic transcript trimming to remove filler words and pauses, as well as smart editing tools like noise cancellation, filters, and multiple video formats. These upgrades aim to cut down production time and costs, enabling creators, educators, and businesses to produce professional-quality videos in minutes instead of months.
