Google is officially rolling out its advanced generative video model, Veo 3, to all users through Vertex AI, the machine learning platform within Google Cloud.

Unlike other models, such as OpenAI’s Sora, Veo 3 is trained on millions of YouTube videos and is capable of producing high-quality, realistic video clips with audio that can reflect various native accents.

Veo 3 is not free, but users can access it at no cost by signing up for Google Cloud’s $300 trial credit, which applies to all services under Google Cloud, including Vertex AI. The trial lasts 90 days and requires a credit or debit card for human verification, though no charges are applied unless the credit is exhausted and the user upgrades to a paid account.

With this credit, users can generate several 8-second clips, which is currently the maximum length per generation. Despite the short duration, Veo 3’s capabilities include realistic motion, environmental coherence, and audio generation, making it a powerful tool for experimentation and content prototyping.

Google has also quietly uploaded several unlisted YouTube videos demonstrating Veo 3’s performance, showcasing its ability to interpret basic text prompts into polished visual output.
