Google is making it easier to find the perfect time to meet with coworkers and clients.
The company has introduced a new Gemini AI-powered feature called “Help me schedule,” designed to suggest meeting time slots based on your Google Calendar and the context of your email conversation. Users can insert these suggestions directly into their email drafts with just a click.
The new “Help me schedule” option automatically appears when Gemini detects that you’re trying to set up a meeting. By clicking the button, you’ll see a list of available time slots drawn from your Google Calendar. For example, if a colleague mentions wanting to meet for 30 minutes next week, Gemini will use that context to find suitable 30-minute slots within your schedule.
Users can also edit the suggested times or add additional slots before sending the email. Once the recipient selects a time, Google will automatically generate a Calendar invite for both parties. This seamless integration is part of Google’s broader effort to make Gmail smarter and more efficient through AI.
In recent months, Google has added several AI-driven enhancements to Gmail, including features that summarize long emails and highlight an “Add to Calendar” button when detecting event-related messages.
Currently, the “Help me schedule” feature supports scheduling meetings between two people only and does not yet handle group meetings. It is now rolling out to Google Workspace users, as well as Gemini for Google AI Pro and AI Ultra subscribers.
