Google Photos is rolling out a new feature for Android users: the ability to edit images and videos within shared albums.
Previously available only on the web and iOS, this functionality is now live on the Android version of the app.
According to Google’s Help page, only the album owner can edit shared photos or videos. They can also save the changes as a copy to their personal gallery or update the item within the shared album itself.
This update brings more flexibility for Android users who want to tweak shared media, whether it’s for personal enhancement or to share improved versions with others. As noted by Android Authority, the rollout adds parity across all platforms, making the Google Photos experience more consistent for users.
