Google is upgrading its Photos app with a new set of touch up tools designed to make quick and subtle edits easier than ever.

The update focuses on simple enhancements that help improve portraits without requiring advanced editing skills or third party apps.

The new tools let users refine specific facial features with just a few taps. After selecting a face in an image, users can choose from options like heal, smooth, under eyes, irises, teeth, eyebrows, and lips. Each tool is designed for targeted adjustments, whether it is removing blemishes, softening skin texture, brightening eyes, or whitening teeth.

One of the key aspects of this update is control. Instead of applying heavy automatic filters, users can adjust the intensity of each effect, allowing for more natural-looking results. This makes the feature useful for quick fixes while still keeping the original look of the photo intact.

The rollout is happening gradually and is currently available on Android devices running Android 9 or later with at least 4 GB of RAM. As with many Google features, availability may expand further over time.
