Google is expanding its AI Mode feature in Search to Spanish-speaking users, bringing its conversational, AI-powered search experience to a broader market.

With AI Mode, users can ask questions in natural language, have back-and-forth conversations, upload images, and explore complex topics in greater depth.

The rollout follows Google’s August expansion of AI Mode to 180 countries beyond the U.S., U.K., and India. That update also introduced advanced tools for Google AI Ultra subscribers, such as the ability to request restaurant reservations through AI Mode. Google says support for booking appointments and purchasing event tickets will arrive in future updates.

The company continues to accelerate AI integration across its products. On the same day as this announcement, Google revealed that conversational photo editing in Google Photos is now available to all Android users in the U.S. It also launched its Google AI Plus subscription plan in 40 more countries, after its initial debut in Indonesia.

This move comes shortly after OpenAI introduced its ChatGPT Go plan in India and Indonesia, offering users a mid-tier option with higher usage limits and improved conversation memory.

Earlier this month, Google added support for Hindi, Indonesian, Japanese, Korean, and Brazilian Portuguese in AI Mode. The company also clarified that AI Mode is a separate immersive chat experience powered by Gemini, while AI Overviews remain AI-generated summaries that appear at the top of search results.
