Epic Games has officially submitted Fortnite to Apple for review, signaling a long-awaited return of the popular battle royale title to the US iOS App Store.
This submission comes after Epic publicly announced plans to bring Fortnite back to iOS sometime this week, following years of legal disputes between the two companies.
We’ve submitted Fortnite to Apple for review so we can launch on the App Store in the U.S.

The game was removed from the App Store in August 2020 after Epic implemented its in-app payment system, violating Apple’s App Store policies. This sparked a high-profile legal battle over app store monopolies and developer rights, eventually reaching the U.S. Supreme Court.
Although Fortnite has been available on Android and other platforms, iPhone users in the US have been locked out of direct App Store access—until now. Apple now has the ball in its court, and approval would mark a major shift in the long-running standoff.
If approved, Fortnite could return to iOS users in the US as early as this week, as Epic previously promised.
