Meta says the free verification badge will appear on profiles, Marketplace, Dating, and Groups, with support for Feed posts planned in a future update. It only confirms that the account completed the selfie verification process and meets Facebook’s eligibility requirements.
To qualify, users must be at least 18 years old, have an account in good standing, comply with Facebook’s Community Standards, and show no signs of inauthentic behavior. The feature is currently rolling out gradually in selected countries and is not yet available for Facebook Pages or Professional Mode profiles.
