Intel Corporation has secured a significant reduction in its long-running EU antitrust penalty, with judges cutting the fine by nearly €140 million.
The EU General Court upheld regulators’ findings that Intel abused its dominance in the x86 CPU market but ruled that the previous €376.36 million fine was excessive.
The updated penalty now stands at €237.1 million, which the court said better reflects the severity and duration of the misconduct.
