Voice AI company ElevenLabs has officially launched a new mobile app for both iOS and Android, allowing users to easily create AI-generated voice clips directly from their smartphones.
Until now, anyone wanting to use ElevenLabs had to rely on the web version. With this new app, users can now generate voice clips on the go, using just a few taps.
To use the app, you simply type or paste the text you want to convert, pick a voice from the library, and generate your audio. The free plan offers around 10 minutes of voice generation, and your usage is shared across both the mobile and web platforms. Users can also choose different models depending on whether they want higher quality or lower cost.
The app includes access to ElevenLabs’ latest v3 alpha model, which adds more control over how the AI voice sounds using special tags for expressions and tone. This gives creators more flexibility to match the voice to their content.
Jack McDermott, who leads mobile growth at ElevenLabs, said many content creators were already using the web version on their phones alongside video editing tools like CapCut, Instagram, and InShot. The demand for a smoother, mobile-native experience pushed the company to build the app. “We’ve seen an explosion of creativity from our community,” he said, noting how the app was designed to be faster and more intuitive for mobile users.
This is ElevenLabs’ second consumer app, following last year’s launch of Reader, which lets users listen to articles, PDFs, and e-books. That app was later expanded for publishers to share audiobooks.
