Discord now lets users “Ignore” others as a less confrontational alternative to blocking.
This feature hides messages and notifications from a user without them knowing, reducing unwanted interactions without causing drama.
To use Ignore, go to a user’s profile, tap the triple-dot menu, and select Ignore (next to Block). Unlike a full block, the ignored person can still see your profile and send messages—you just won’t see them unless you choose to unhide them.

Discord says this feature is part of its effort to create safer spaces, especially for teens. The company is also joining other tech giants in launching ROOST, a nonprofit focused on detecting child abuse content online.
