OpenAI has added iCloud Mail and Calendar integrations to ChatGPT, allowing users to search their inboxes, draft email replies, manage appointments and retrieve contact information directly through the AI chatbot.
The new integrations are designed to help users handle everyday tasks without repeatedly switching between apps. Once connected, ChatGPT can search iCloud Mail for relevant messages, help prepare replies, check calendar availability and create or update events based on information found in emails.
Much requested, and now yours to connect: iCloud Mail and Calendar plugins are available in ChatGPT. Ask ChatGPT to find that email, catch up on your inbox, check what’s next, or update a calendar event. Phew. Available on all ChatGPT plans on web, desktop, and iOS. https://t.co/g68OWoFVg8

For example, a user could ask ChatGPT to find an upcoming museum event mentioned in an email, check their calendar for available time and add the event to their schedule. This could make it easier to coordinate appointments, organise plans and find important information scattered across messages and calendar entries.
Users connect their iCloud accounts through Apple’s app-specific password system. The feature is available across ChatGPT’s web, desktop and iOS experiences and supports all ChatGPT plans, according to the announcement.
The addition builds on ChatGPT’s existing integrations with services such as Gmail and Microsoft Outlook, giving users who rely on Apple’s ecosystem another way to bring their personal information into AI-assisted workflows.
However, the integration has some limitations. Support is focused on iCloud Mail, Calendar and contact information, rather than Apple’s entire suite of services. Reminders and Messages are not currently supported, so users cannot yet manage those services through the new integrations.
