Bluesky has announced that users in the UK will now need to verify their age to continue using certain features on the platform.
In its latest update, the social media network will prompt users to confirm their age by uploading a valid ID, scanning their face, or using a payment card.
This move comes as part of Bluesky’s compliance with the UK’s Online Safety Act, which mandates stricter protections for minors online.
Users who fail to complete the age verification process or are found to be under 18 will face restricted access to specific content and features on the platform.
