Apple has agreed to a $250 million settlement in a class-action lawsuit tied to its Apple Intelligence rollout and the delayed launch of advanced Siri features promoted alongside the iPhone 16 series.

The lawsuit accused Apple of giving customers the impression that a smarter AI-powered Siri experience would be available when the iPhone 16 launched. According to the complaint, buyers expected those features to arrive shortly after the announcement, but many of them were either missing or only partially released months later.

The proposed settlement covers customers in the United States who bought an iPhone 16 model or an iPhone 15 Pro between June 10, 2024, and March 29, 2025. Eligible users could receive between $25 and $95 for each device, depending on the total number of claims submitted.

Apple Intelligence was introduced as a major part of Apple’s AI push, with the company highlighting features such as a more personal Siri assistant, Genmoji, Image Playground, and ChatGPT integration. While some tools were later released, the upgraded Siri experience continued to face delays.

Apple said it agreed to settle the case so it could continue focusing on developing new products and services. The company denied any wrongdoing and stated that several Apple Intelligence features have already been made available across supported devices since 2024.
