Apple is reportedly working on new AI-powered writing tools for the iPhone and iPad that could work in a similar way to Grammarly.
According to Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman, Apple may introduce built-in grammar checking, writing suggestions, and other AI-based editing features in its upcoming iPhone and iPad software updates. The tools are expected to be part of Apple’s broader AI push, which could be announced at WWDC.
The report also says Apple is preparing a redesigned version of Siri with stronger AI capabilities. Siri has long been criticized for falling behind rival assistants, and Apple is now expected to give it a major upgrade as the company tries to catch up in the AI race.
Alongside writing assistance, Apple is also said to be planning improvements to Shortcuts. The updated Shortcuts app could allow users to create automations simply by describing what they want, making it easier for people to build useful workflows without setting them up manually.
Apple may also introduce an AI wallpaper generator, similar to features already available on Samsung and Google phones. This could let users create custom wallpapers using text prompts or AI-generated styles.
While Apple has not officially confirmed these features, the rumors suggest that AI will be a major focus of the company’s next software updates for iPhone and iPad.
