PlayStation 5 users can now purchase games and content from the PlayStation Store using Apple Pay directly on their consoles.

While Apple Pay was previously supported through web and mobile app purchases, it now joins other on-console payment methods such as PayPal and saved cards.

According to 9to5Mac, the new integration uses Apple’s QR code-style payment flow introduced in iOS 18. When checking out on a PS5, users can select Apple Pay and scan a code on their TV with an iPhone, triggering a secure transaction screen. The feature is currently available in supported regions, including the US.

Apple Card users can also benefit from 2% Daily Cash rewards when purchasing through Apple Pay on PS5. PlayStation support has a dedicated page listing all regions where this feature is enabled.
