YouTube has announced it will start using Google’s Gemini AI to enhance how ads are placed in videos.
According to YouTube, the system will identify “contextually relevant” moments within videos — those points where viewers are most engaged — and insert ads accordingly. This approach aims to make advertising less disruptive while boosting effectiveness for marketers.
By analyzing content and user behavior, Gemini can determine optimal ad timing more precisely than traditional methods. The update reflects Google’s broader integration of AI across its platforms to improve user experience and ad performance.
