YouTube is expanding its affordable ad-free viewing tier, Premium Lite, to more countries, including Canada and the United Kingdom.
The subscription service, which launched in the US earlier this year, is also rolling out to Mexico, Argentina, and Brazil.
Premium Lite offers an ad-free experience on “most” YouTube videos but does not include YouTube Music or background playback. It’s designed for users who want fewer interruptions without paying full price for all Premium features.

The plan is priced at CAD$7.99 in Canada and £7.99 in the UK, significantly cheaper than the standard YouTube Premium, which costs CAD$12.99 / £12.99 per month.
The rollout is gradual, so not all users may see the option immediately. To check availability, users are encouraged to visit the YouTube Premium Lite site and see if they’re eligible to subscribe.
