TikTok users can now save tracks they discover directly to SoundCloud, thanks to a new partnership announced Wednesday between the two platforms.

The integration expands TikTok’s existing “Add to Music App” feature, which previously supported services like Spotify and Apple Music.

With this feature, users can tap on an audio track used in a TikTok video and instantly add it to a playlist in their default music app. The new SoundCloud integration makes it easier for users to take their musical discoveries off the app and supports independent artists in reaching wider audiences.

Over the years, TikTok has become a key platform for music discovery and promotion. From launching the careers of indie artists to giving old tracks a new life, even big names like Taylor Swift have recognized its influence. TikTok says songs have been saved over a billion times through this feature since its initial rollout last year.

The SoundCloud integration is rolling out globally starting today, bringing even more flexibility to how users engage with music on the platform.
