YouTube suffered a partial outage on Wednesday morning, leaving thousands of users unable to access the platform through its website, mobile apps, and smart TV applications.
The issue reportedly began just before 6AM (GMT +5:45), with users saying videos would not load and the homepage failed to refresh. However, some embedded YouTube videos on third-party websites continued to play normally, suggesting the outage was not a complete shutdown.
Reports quickly spiked on DownDetector, where users flagged problems with video streaming, login access, and app functionality. Complaints also spread across X, where frustrated users shared screenshots of error messages and blank screens.
In response, the official @TeamYouTube account confirmed they were aware of the disruption and said engineers were working to restore services as soon as possible. So far, Google, YouTube’s parent company, has not provided detailed technical information about what caused the outage.
Thanks for the report. We can confirm that we're aware of the issue & our team is currently working on a fix. We appreciate your patience while we get this sorted

Users are advised to wait for an official fix rather than reinstalling apps or resetting devices, as the problem appears to be on the platform’s side.
