X has reduced the daily posting limits for free accounts, placing a much stricter cap on how much unverified users can post each day.
Under the new limit, free users only need to be concerned if they are making more than 50 original posts and 200 replies in a single day. That is a major change from the previous limit, which allowed up to 2,400 daily posts.
The change appears to be aimed at reducing bot activity on the platform. Even with the new restriction, 50 original posts per day is still a high enough limit for most regular human users, so the impact is likely to be felt more by spammy or automated accounts than everyday users.
