X is introducing a set of new features, including automatic translation and an upgraded photo editor powered by xAI’s Grok models.
On Tuesday, X’s head of product, Nikita Bier, shared that automatic translation is now being rolled out globally. With this feature, posts can be translated instantly, helping users understand content in different languages. If someone prefers not to see translations for a specific language, they can tap the gear icon on the translated post and turn the option off.
We're rolling out auto-translate worldwide to give posts in any language global reach on X.

The translations are powered by Grok and have improved substantially over the last couple months.
If you prefer to read in the original language, you can always turn off auto-translate…
At the same time, X is updating its iOS app with a new image editor that includes tools for drawing and adding text. There is also a blur feature that allows users to hide sensitive parts of an image, such as faces or personal details like credit card or Social Security numbers.
The update goes a step further by letting users edit images through simple text prompts using Grok. For example, someone can type a request like asking to turn a photo into a painting displayed in a museum, and the system will generate that version of the image. X said these features will be available on Android soon as well.
