The social media platform X (formerly known as Twitter) is back online for most users after a major outage yesterday
The issue started around 9 AM ET, with many users saying they couldn’t log in or use the app.
The global internet monitoring group NetBlocks confirmed that X was facing worldwide outages, though it was not caused by country-level internet blocks or filters.
On the website Downdetector, outage reports spiked just after 8 AM ET, but the number of complaints started to drop about 45 minutes later. Reports have now gone from tens of thousands to just a few hundred.
