WhatsApp is rolling out a new feature that lets channel admins disclose sponsored content using a Paid Partnership label on both Android and iOS.
The update is designed to make promotional posts more transparent by clearly indicating when content is part of a paid collaboration between a brand and a channel owner.
With the new label, users will be able to easily identify sponsored posts while browsing WhatsApp Channels. The feature is expected to help creators, businesses, and organizations comply with advertising transparency standards as more brands use WhatsApp Channels to reach their audiences.
The paid partnership label is being released gradually, so it may not be available to all channel admins immediately. Once enabled, eligible admins can apply the label when publishing sponsored updates, giving followers clear information about commercial partnerships.
