WhatsApp is adding support for Live Photos on iOS, giving users more ways to share moments in chats, groups, and channels.
According to WABetaInfo, the feature is available in the latest iOS beta 25.24.10.72 update, following last month’s rollout of motion photo support on Android.
When sending a Live Photo, users will be able to choose whether to share it as a regular still image or as the original dynamic clip. This makes it easier to send short, expressive moments without converting them into videos or GIFs.
The feature is currently in beta testing, but it signals WhatsApp’s continued push to improve multimedia sharing across platforms. A wider rollout is expected in the coming updates.
